Dr. Claudia Giuliani, Veterinarian

Dr. Claudia Giuliani, originally form Bari, Itay, graduated from the prestigious University of Bologna, Italy in 2003. She then moved to the United States where she completed the ECFVG program for foreign veterinarians and then attended Oregon State University for her Veterinary Degree. She has been practicing in the Waterbury area for the last six years before coming to Stratford. She would like to mainly focus the practice on wellness and preventative care, dermatology and animal behavior. She consistently attends continuing education events to keep up with the newest trends in veterinary medicine. She currently resides in Trumbull with her husband and two children. When Dr. Giuliani is not working, she enjoys swimming, running, reading and traveling. She would like to thank her pets Giulia, Nanna, Kiara, Gaia, and Ty for all of their inspiration and love over the years. Their presence in her life helped her put aside her pet allergies and commit to a life of veterinary service! WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM ALSO!!!

Debbie, Certified Veterinary Technician

Debbie graduated from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford more years ago than she cares to remember, but Dr. Giuliani is always the first one to point out that Debbie is "young at heart." Shortly after graduating college, she realized her true passion is working with animals and began working at veterinary hospitals. Many years later, she went back to college and became a certified technician. She still loves the job as much as she did on her first day. Debbie has 2 dogs, Cappuccino and Cocoa, and 2 cats, Matilda and Tobey, that allow her and her husband and daughter to live with them. When not working, you can find Debbie at home reading a good book or enjoying a Hallmark movie.

.

Jen, Technician

Jen graduated from Unity College in Maine with a B.S. in Captive Wildlife Care and Education. She joined The Pet Hospital in 2013 and quickly fit right in! She has a certificate in Companion Animal Laser Therapy through AIMLA. She has also started learning how to ultrasound, and has been practicing her scanning. She has four cats and will talk to anyone who will listen about them. Jen loves the outdoors and any activity that can be done outside! She also loves crafting, and makes her own soap and bath bombs.

.

Mallory, Technician

Mallory graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2007 with a B.S. in Animal Science. She began her career in the veterinary field shortly after and started with The Pet Hospital of Stratford in 2015. She has a certificate in Companion Animal Laser Therapy through AIMLA. When she's not at work helping her furry patients feel better, you can find her running around with her two kids, training for a new race, or seeking out new adventures with her husband, family, and friends. Tito, her cat, is cool too.

.

Gigi, Technician

Gigi joined the PHS team in April of 2019 and has been working with animals for over 10 years. She is Fear-Free certified, speaks Spanish, and is currently working on her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. Gigi has two dogs and three cats who are her babies. She dreams of someday owning her own farm animal sanctuary and showing the world just how delicious vegan food can be. In the meantime, when she is not working, she spends her time advocating for mental health awareness and taking away the stigma that there is on mental health illness.

.

Delshonda, Administrative Assistant

Delshonda graduated from Mount Ida College with an Associates Degree in Science for Professional Animal Care. She has wanted to be a veterinarian since the age of 10. Del has been active in the animal field for over 20 years, starting as a kennel worker and working her way to a veterinary technician. She always takes a special interest in the excited and hard to handle animals. In 2014 due to an incident, she lost her hearing, but still loves animals. She enjoys helping out wherever she can around the office, and has been known to have the patience of a saint. Delshonda has a dog, Swiss, and 2 older children. She enjoys swimming and being with friends and family.

.

Jennifer, Customer Service Coordinator

Jennifer joined our team in January, 2022 and has been involved in animal rescue since the pandemic. She is currently studying at the University of Bridgeport in hopes of furthering her education and staying in the veterinary field. She speaks Spanish and Japanese and is the mother of a very spoiled 5 year old chihuahua/poodle mix, Romeo! Jennifer also fosters kittens in her spare time. Her favorite populations to work with are neonatal and spicy feral babies.

.

Phoenix, Hospital Cat

Phoenix joined our staff in September of 2019. She came to us very sick, but Dr. Giuliani worked her magic, and she has been happy and healthy since! Phoenix has made herself quite at home here. She loves pushing all our papers off the desks, chasing birds and butterflies in the window of our front desk, and watching over the lobby from the upstairs loft. You'll find her toys down the hallways of the office. She loves attention and a good chin scratch.
